Authorities say the death toll from an explosion and ensuing fire during repair work on a ship at a dockyard west of Athens has increased to five, reported The Associated Press. The Merchant Marine Ministry said four more people were injured. It said rescue crews were still searching the ship Friday in case there were people trapped in the ship. The blast occurred on Thursday afternoon during repair work on the Panamanian-flagged Friendship Gas tanker at the Perama shipyard west of the Greek capital. The ministry said two people had been arrested on suspicion of not maintaining safety standards.
