Ten people were killed and 32 were injured in a major road accident in Kyrgyzstan, when a passenger bus carrying Kazakh tourists drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a car overnight to Monday, Itar-Tass reported. There were 49 tourists in the bus. Kazakh tourists were on their way from a resort area of Issyk-Kul Lake to Almaty. Near the Kyrgyz city of Tokmak, the bus traveling at the speed of 150 kilometers per hour, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Mercedes car. After the collision, the bus turned over several times. All injured passengers were rushed to different hospitals in Tokmak. There are children and teenagers among the casualties, sources from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Public Health told Itar-Tass. One child was killed, two are in the intensive care unit and three are in the casualty department. Criminal proceedings have been launched. Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Public Health Madamin Karatayev is visiting hospitals where injured passengers were rushed.
