President George W. Bush will welcome visiting President Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso this week for talks on U.S. aid and efforts to stabilize western Africa, the White House announced Monday. On Wednesday, Bush and Compaore “will discuss the shared goal of advancing democracy and human rights in Africa, especially Zimbabwe and Sudan,” the White House said in a statement. Bush also will congratulate Compaore on his country's new $480 million in U.S. aid, the White House wrote.
