The Head of the Office of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Baghdad, Ambassador Hamid Eltinay, will be in Baghdad next week to open resident office and assume his duties. Opening the resident of the OIC office is in implementation of the OIC Council's decision to support the stability, unity and sovereignty of Iraq. It will work towards national reconciliation efforts, ending sectarian violence based on the Makkah Document signed by prominent Iraqi scholars in 2007 under the auspices of the OIC, and helping in the humanitarian and reconstruction endeavors in Iraq, according to a latest press release of the OIC.
