The Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani inaugurated here on Wednesday the specialized exhibitions of Saudi Cultural Days activities in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku. He expressed his happiness over the distinguished attendance of the activities, saying that the exhibitions include Palm exhibition, exhibition of traditional costumes of a number of regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Two Holy Mosques exhibition, exhibition of photography and plastics art exhibition. Madani said that the cultural communication between the Kingdom and Azerbaijan started two years ago by organizing Azerbaijani cultural days in the Kingdom and organizing Saudi Cultural Days in Azerbaijan now. The minister expressed the Kingdom's pride of cultural heritage of Azerbaijan which meets Saudi heritage in a number of fields, pointing out the existing cooperation will continue through joint programmes and cultural delegations between the two countries. The Minister of Culture and Information valued the efforts exerted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and thanked Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abu-Al-Lafz Gurbanov for his support and follow-up as well as the Director of the National Museum for her efforts in organizing the exhibitions. For his part, Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abu-Al-Lafz Gurbanov expressed his and Azerbaijan's attendance pride of Saudi culture and shows in art, folklore, plastics and cartoon arts. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abu-Al-Lafz Gurbanov and Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Information for International Cultural Relations of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abu Bakr Ahmed Baqader.
