Dr. Abu Baker Baqader, Advisor to the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information for Cultural Affairs, announced today that, following a meeting with Tunisia's Minister of Culture and Preservation of Heritage Mohammed Alaziz bin Ashoor, it has been decided to hold Tunisian Cultural Days in Saudi Arabia mid-April 2006. Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency at the conclusion of a several day official visit to Tunisia, Baqader said the college of Arts, University of Manuba, Tunisia will also hold an international symposium on Saudi novel on the sidelines of the Tunisian Cultural Days in the Kingdom. Also, a Saudi Arabic Calligraphy exhibition will take place on the fringes of Tunisian celebrations of the centennial of Ibn Khaldoon next month, he said, adding that Saudi female novelists will also take part in an international workshop on family violence and an international symposium on female novel in the Arab world to be organized by the Tunis-based Arab Women Center for Training and Research.
