Saudi ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmad al-Jubeir hosted here yesterday a luncheon in honor of the visiting delegation of the Shoura (Consultative) Council. The party was attended by a number of officials. The delegation visited yesterday the US Congress, and it was briefed on the role of the National Homeland Security Committee. It also held a meeting with Executive Director of US National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) William T. Pound as well as with U.S. congressman (Democrat) from Georgia David Scott. During the meetings, issues as regards prospects of enhancing bilateral cooperation came up for discussion. The delegation includes Dr Bandar Al-Eiban, the Head of the Saudi-American Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Eng. Osama Kurdi; Yousef Al-Maimani; Dr Khalid Al-Awad, Dr Nihad Al-Jashi, the advisor at the Shoura Council, and other officials.
