An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale occurred off north-east Taiwan today, but there were no reports of casualties, according to DPA. The quake,with its epicentre 95.7 kilometres north-east of Ilan struck on the north-eastern tip of the island, 20.9 kilometres under the seabed, the Seismological Observation Centre said.
