Presided over by its Assistant Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Barak, the Shoura Council held its 21st ordinary session here today. The Council proceeded discussing draft regulations affecting real estate financing, control of financing companies, leasing, and mortgaging of notarized real property. In a press statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Assistant Secretary General of the Council Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya said that the Council approved two draft agreements between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on one hand and the Governments of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Turkey on the other hand to avoid double taxation and prevent evasion of income and capital tax, in addition to the attached draft protocols. Also, the Council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the French Republic to cooperate in the sectors of oil, gas and minerals. --More
