The press service of the Far Eastern regional centre of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Tuesday that tectonic cataclysms were registered on Monday, May 19 at a depth of 500 kilometers under the Pyotr Veliky Bay at 21:08, local time (14:08, Moscow time). There was no tsunami threat and no negative effects of the dangerous natural phenomenon, emergency rescuers noted. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the Primorye earthquake was located 75 kilometers from Vladivostok and 95 kilometers from Nakhodka. The underground earth tremor was not felt in these cities.
