The General Assembly of the World Health Organization started here today its 61st session with participation of 193 states and attendance of more than 100 ministers of health around the world. The Saudi delegation to the meetings is headed by the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Manie. Dr. Al-Manie delivered a speech on behalf of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health in which he explained that there are significant challenges facing the Arab region to reach the good standards suitable for Arab man, expressing his hope to enhance cooperation with the Word Heath Organization, member states, non-governmental international and regional organizations to improve the health status and upgrade health services.
