Prince Alwaleed receives a commemorative gift from the chairman of the Euro-Arab Environmental Council. JEDDAH – Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, vice chaired by Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, received in his office in Riyadh, Dr. Saleh Al-Muzaini, Chairman of the Euro-Arab Environmental Council and his accompanying delegation. The Euro-Arab Environmental Council is a non-governmental organization based in Geneva. It is mainly concerned with the environment and interested in the transfer of technology to the Arab world through the use of expertise, technologies, European studies, research and cooperation with governmental and private agencies in the Arab world to help achieve a cleaner Arab environment to reflect on the health and lives of Arab citizens. Dr. Al-Muzaini thanked Alwaleed for his efforts in supporting charitable projects and programs locally, regionally and internationally. They also discussed future potential cooperation with Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation. The delegation presented Alwaleed with a commemorative gift, who promised continuous support. The Foundation encourages and supports organizations, studies, and academic centers focusing on empowering Saudi women, alleviating poverty, upgrading services provided to the population, and enhancement of social infrastructures in the country. The Foundation is also directly involved in major projects that provide direct aid to the citizens of Saudi Arabia ranging from medical aid to housing where hundreds of housing units have been provided to poor families as part of a 10- year project. The Foundation is also involved in the distribution of electric generators to remote villages. Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global works to provide women and youth in the MENA region with economic and educational opportunities, through strategic philanthropic investments in sustainable projects of the Foundation's various partner organizations. It tackles poverty and provides rapid aid in cases of natural disasters internationally.
