An earthquake measuring 6.7 points on the Richter scale occurred in the area of the Guam Island - US territory, in the western part of the Pacific on Saturday morning, Itar-Tass reported. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earth tremor was at a depth of 87.5 kilometers and 200 kilometers west of the main city of port of Guam – Hagatna. There was no tsunami. There were no immediate reports about casualties and damage. Guam is the largest of the Mariana Islands. Its area is 549 square kilometers and the population – about 150,000.
