An official source at the Arab League said that an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers is expected to be held on Sunday in line with a request from Egypt and supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss the deteriorating situation in Lebanon, how to find a solution and continue the Arab Initiative to solve the crisis and calm the situation in Lebanon. In a statement today, the source said that earlier today, the general secretariat of the Arab League received the Egyptian request and was conveyed to all Arab countries who are members of the Arab League. The source added that the Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Mosa is currently consulting with concerned Arab countries to hold the meeting.
