The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Barri and the Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa discussed here today developments in Lebanon and the region. Taking into consideration the Arab initiative, they also discussed the efforts made by Dr. Moussa to calm the situation and find a solution to the current political crisis between the opposition and the Lebanese government. In a press statement following the meeting, Moussa said that the atmosphere is good and the consultations are progressing in a serious manner. He also pointed out that he will visit tomorrow Damascus to meet the Syrian President, and then return back to Beirut to continue consultations with Lebanese officials.
