A plane of Saudi Airlines carrying 122 passengers and 7 crew members landed safely at Tabuk regional airport today coming from Riyadh after suffering from a technical fault in landing wheels. The official spokesman of General Commission of Civil Aviation Abdulhamid Aba Al-Ura said in a statement that a state of emergency of second-class was declared at Tabuk Regional Airport after receiving information on the fault from the pilot of the plane, type MD90, flight No. 1559, pointing out that the airport management and concerned bodies immediately activated appropriate emergency procedures, took all necessary preparations to receive the plane and the passengers and crew members were disembarked safely. He noted that what happened to the plane is considered as one of technical cases suffer by aircraft at all airports and the declaration of the state of emergency at the airport came as a state of preparedness and alert for any development, commending the degree of preparedness at Saudi airports.
