OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has received the AMSS 2007 Building Bridges Award in recognition of his tireless efforst to increase understanding and cooperation between the Muslim world and the West, for advocating and strengthening the ties of cooperation between Muslim countries and communities, as well as for his strong and dedicated support of the Alliance of Civilizations Project. The Award was presented on the occasion of the lecture given by the Secretary General Ihsanoglu at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (UK) on 28th April 2008, by Prof. Jeremy Henzell-Thomas, on behalf of the AMSS (UK).
