OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has received the AMSS 2007 Building Bridges Award in recognition of his tireless efforts to increase understanding and cooperation between the Muslim world and the West, for advocating and strengthening the ties of cooperation between Muslim countries and communities, as well as for his strong and dedicated support of the Alliance of Civilizations Project. Prof. Jeremy Henzell-Thomas, on behalf of the AMSS (UK), presented the award on the occasion of the lecture given by the Secretary General Ihsanoglu at the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (UK) on April 28, 2008.
