The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has sent the humanitarian aid to the population of Bolivia that was afflicted by floods, Itar-Tass reported. The ministry's plane Il-76 took off from the Ramenskoye airfield outside Moscow on Tuesday morning. It carries 40 tents, 1,000 blankets, over 11 tons of foodstuffs, including baby food, and medicines. The weight of the cargo is 30 tons. The humanitarian aid is sent to Bolivia on the order of the Russian government. “The leadership of this Latin American country has asked the Russian government for it,” the Emergency Situations Ministry's official said. The humanitarian aid will be delivered to the airport of the city of Santa Cruz, where it will be turned over to representatives of the Bolivian government.
