Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Society (SRCS) has expressed his happiness over the accomplished efforts to link Saudi Guantanamo detainees with their families via telephone calls. In a press statement, he said "The families and relatives of the detainees have nothing to do with the deliberate or non- deliberate crimes committed by some of their sons." The Society, he said, is concerned with humanitarian issues away from political sides. "We are highly interested in making connection between detainees and their families to establish serenity and comforts about their sons' lives and health conditions. These efforts will help in uplifting the morale of the relatives and detainees as well." He pointed out that the Saudi Red Crescent Society is considered the First one on a global level, with its stance to link Guantanamo detainees with their relatives. "Moreover, the Society will continue to take such steps until detainees return home."
