The Saudi Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with International Red Cross, has succeeded in arranging direct phone calls for a number of Saudi detainees in the US-run detention camp in Guantanamo Bay to their families in Saudi Arabia, the Society announced in a press release on Wednesday. The press release also reported that the Society hosted the detainees' family members in its headquarters in Riyadh and arranged one-hour- phone calls for each prisoner. The calls were the detainees' first live contact with their families in six years. This came as a result of the efforts exerted by Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Red Crescent Society, and the Red Cross International Organization. __
