Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) has increased its seat capacity on its scheduled flights between regions of the Kingdom and to its various international destinations during holidays of the mid-school year, effective from April 8 to 19. Khalid bin Abdullah Al Melhim, SAA's General Manager, said the Airlines has made available all arrangements that are necessary to operate the additional flights on its domestic and international routes to serve the expected rise in the travel movement during the holiday season. He also referred to the readiness of the Airlines to operate 61 flights including 32 international flights and 29 domestic flights. Al Melhim added that this increase covers operation of 21 additional weekly flights between Riyadh and Jeddah; 4 weekly flights between Abha and Riyadh, and 4 flights between Jeddah and Dammam. The increase on international routes includes operation of 9 weekly flights between Riyadh and Cairo; 8 weekly flights between Jeddah and Cairo; 4 weekly flights between Jeddah and Sharm Al Sheikh; two weekly flights between Riyadh and Sharm Al Sheikh, and 4 flights between Jeddah and Alexandria. There will be increase also in flights to Dubai, with one weekly flight each between Riyadh and Dubai and another one between Jeddah and Dubai. SAA sets out its operational plans in advance for different seasons in light of outcomes of the studies regarding volumes and trends of movements, as well as results of marketing researches for various domestic and international sectors.
