Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) has increased its seat capacity on its scheduled flights between Saudi regions and to its various international destinations during holidays of the mid-school year, between April 8 to 19. Khalid Bin Abdullah Almolhem, SAA's director general, said the national airline has made available all necessary arrangements to operate additional flights on its domestic and international routes to serve the expected rise in travel during the holiday season. He said the airline is ready to operate 61 flights, including 32 international flights and 29 domestic flights. Melhim added that the increase covers 21 additional weekly flights between Riyadh and Jeddah, four weekly flights between Abha and Riyadh, and four flights between Jeddah and Dammam. The increase on international routes includes nine weekly flights between Riyadh and Cairo, eight weekly flights between Jeddah and Cairo, four weekly flights between Jeddah and Sharm Al-Sheikh, two weekly flights between Riyadh and Sharm Al-Sheikh, and four flights between Jeddah and Alexandria. There will be more flights to Dubai, with one weekly flight each between Riyadh and Dubai and another between Jeddah and Dubai. Almolhem said SAA sets out its operational plans in advance for different seasons in light of outcomes of the studies regarding volumes and trends of movements, as well as results of marketing researches for various domestic and international sectors. __
