Dr. Metleb Annafisah, State Minister, Deputy Minister of Higher Education opened here last night the activities of the 7th International Conference on Islamic Economy entitled "30 years of Research on Islamic Economy, Solution and application for Current Economic issues", hosted by King Abdulaziz University. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Abdullah Qurban Turkistani, Director General of Islamic Economy Researches Center said the conference will evaluate the progress of research works with regard to the Islamic Economy in the last 30 years in addition to formulating a strategic vision for the future of Islamic Economy researches and discuss the updated Islamic solutions and application for current financing, investment, cooperative insurance and charitable works. In an address at the conference, Dr. Annafisah said that the current economic problems facing humanity spring from negligence of Islamic and ethical values. "The abiding concern of all States is to build a sound and solid economy which resist all difficulties faced by the global economy", he added.
