The National Commercial Bank (NCB) recently launched its “Starting Your Business from Home” program for 20 women trainees in cooperation with the Nahda Women's Charitable Society. Mahmoud Al-Turkistani, NCB vice president and head of its Society Service Unit, said the program would help qualify participating women and provide them with the necessary skills to start small businesses from home. “They will be trained to formulate a clear vision of their projects and how to conduct market studies,” Al-Turkistani said at the launch. “They will also receive training in marketing skills and finding the suitable sales avenues for businesses run from home.” Al-Turkistani said that during the initial program workshop, trainees carried out marketing research, surveys and analysis. Projects varied between party organization, public services, fashion design, designing clothes for the disabled, in addition to student services, interior designing and others. Similar programs will be launched in Jeddah and Qassim within the next week.
