A collision accident occurred today between a bus with Bahraini plates and fuel tanker on the Riyadh-Qasim highway 35 kilometers away from the province of Majmaah. The accident led to leakage of fuel from the tanker and fire engulfed the tanker and the bus. The accident resulted in the death of 7 people and injury of 33 people, four of them seriously. Three people escaped unharmed. The media spokesman of the Civil Service Directorate in the region of Riyadh captain Abdullah Alqfari said five fire fighting teams, five rescue teams and a large number of ambulances tackled the accident immediately after it happened. All victims of the accident were taken to nearby hospitals which were put in emergency state. Investigation authorities went to the site of the accident promptly to discover the causes of the accident.
