Five passengers on a public bus were killed and 29 injured when the bus, en route from Jeddah to Diba port, collided with a small truck on Umluj-Al-Wajh Highway. The drivers of both the bus and the truck sustained serious injuries and are in critical condition in a local hospital. According to the Director General of Health Affairs in Tabuk, hospitals in the area were put on maximum alert to receive the wounded with six ambulance and emergency teams attending to the accident. A five-member Saudi family got off the bus at an earlier stop in Umluj escaped the ordeal which occurred half an hour later. - Okaz __
