A Saudia Boeing 777 carrying 287 passengers made an emergency landing in Cairo airport Wednesday after its captain received a bomb threat. The Riyadh-Cairo chartered flight and had entered Egyptian airspace when the captain got the report of a bomb in one of the toilets. He alerted Egyptian security authorities who arranged for an emergency landing on a specially cleared runway. The passengers and crew were quickly evacuated, said Tariq Kattou'ah, Assistant Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines. Investigators found no bomb on board. The plane later departed for Riyadh with another batch of passengers.
