An earthquake measuring 5.0 on Richter scale jolted Bangkulu province in Sumatra on Friday, a meteorological and geophysics (BMG) official said, accordign to Antara. Sujud of the local BMG said that the earthquake took place at 4.22 degrees southern latitude and 100.93 degrees eastern longitude. The epicenter of the earthquake is about 146 km south west of Lais in North Bengkulu district at a depth of 20 km, he said. No immediate report on casualties or damage.
