Borussia Dortmund slipped back into the red for the first half of the 2007/2008 tax year, the Bundesliga club announced Friday, according to dpa. Figures show a deficit of 5.9 million euros (8.9 million dollars) compared to a profit of 8 million euros a year earlier for Germany's only publicly listed club. Turnover shrank to 50.1 million euros from 54 million. Club management said the figures were a result of smaller transfer fees as well as increased licencing costs but that a return to increased turnover was expected in 2009.
