Syrian Minister of Electricity Dr. Ahmed Khaled al-Ali has discussed with his Turkish Counterpart Dr. Helmi Guler and the accompanying delegation ways of enhancing cooperation in the field of electricity. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of exchanging expertise in electric energy projects in addition to the investment of renewable energy resources for producing electricity. Dr. al-Ali said that relations between Syria and Turkey are good and strong, especially in the electric field. He also pointed out that they discussed future plans to develop the joint resources of electronic energy as well as means of developing traditional resources. He said that the two sides agreed on putting an executive program for cooperation in various pivots such as the renewable energy resources and the production of hydrogen to be the future fuel. For his part, the Turkish Minister highly appreciated the relations of cooperation between the two neighboring countries and their joint traditions, culture, history, religion and geography. He also pointed out to the importance of developing the relations between the two ministries, underlining his ministry's care to establish future projects between the two countries in many fields like electric energy, natural gas and petroleum.
