Ministry of Finance issues explanation of high cost of living allowance

The Ministry of Finance issued here today an explanation of the application mechanism of the disbursement of the allowance of the high cost of living which was issued by the Council of Ministers on 19/1/1429 H. for all governmental departments.
The explanation stated:
1- The allowance shall be disbursed to all holders of jobs of various categories including Saudi and non-
Saudi contract employees.
2- The allowance shall be disbursed in the first year with a percentage of 5%; in the second year with a percentage of 10% and in the third year with a percentage of 15% of the basic salary.
3- According to the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the start of the application of the disbursement of the allowance shall be as of 1/1/1429 H.
