Presided over by its Chairman Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council held its 69th session here today. At the outset of the session, the Chairman expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the employee at the Saudi embassy in Chad whose wife and daughter died following a bomb fell on the Saudi Ambassador's residence in N'Djamena, Chad. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Assistant Secretary General of the Shoura Council Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya said that the Council listened to a report on the Council's participation in the 5th Conference and the 10th session of the Parliamentary Union Council of OIC Member States held in Cairo. The Council approved an additional recommendation on the national strategy of anti-narcotics and psychotropic substances, stating the development and activation of fields of regional and international cooperation to combat narcotics. --More
