Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa has highlighted the importance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and said Bahrain's relations with the Council's other member states are "deep-rooted and tenacious ties." "Moreover, the GCC states constitute the strategic and courteous base for Bahrain, " he said.
