ON-DON, Russia, January 24, SPA -- A man on trial for murder grabbed a gun from a guard en route from a courthouse to jail Thursday and escaped after killing one officer and wounding three others, law enforcement officials in Russia said, reported The Associated Press. The suspect seized a pistol from one of the guards escorting him back to jail in a vehicle after a court hearing in the southern city of Vladikavkaz, a duty officer at the Interior Ministry's southern branch said. He fled the scene, the duty officer said. One guard was fatally shot and three were wounded, he said.
