Mild quake hits Bengkulu waters

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook Bengkulu waters early Thursday, ANTARA reported.
The epicenter of the temblor which struck at 02.23 a.m. was located 74 km north-west of Mukomuko in Bengkulu province at a depth of 10 km, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) said on Thursday.
The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, the agency said.
