As many as 11, 288 surgical operations were conducted by the Makkah-based Al-Noor Specialist Hospital during last year (1428 AH). These surgeries include 3,038 major ones and 3, 897 minor ones in addition to 4, 353 first- aid operations, according to a latest statistical report issued by the Hospital. During the same period, The Hospital's various medical Centers received 162, 006 out-patients in addition to 246, 765 patients who availed services of its Emergency Section, said the Director of the Hospital's Automatic operation program, Dr.Haitim bin Ahmed Al-Amri. The number of female delivery operations totaled 3, 793 including 2, 724 normal operations and 965 caesarian ones as well as other kinds of operations, he added.
