suweil said the Saudi Forum for technologies of oil and gas exploration and production will be entailed by research and development projects which will positively contribute to supporting the economic base. On his part, Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, the vice-president of KACST, said for more than one year arrangements started for the organization of this meeting which comes due to cooperation between the branch of the ministry of petroleum and mineral resources in the eastern region and the institute of astronomy and geophysics researches at KACST. He noted that the FORUM includes scientific lectures and workshops as well as an exhibition on its fringes. He thanked the authorities which have extended support to the Forum. The opening session was attended by a number of princes and senior officials.
