The Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani has called a number of Managers of Dairy Companies for a meeting at his office here tomorrow to discuss going back to the previous prices of milk and dairy. This came in the light of what was published by some newspapers claiming that a number of dairy companies raised effective from yesterday (Thursday, January 03, 2008) the prices of dairy products by 20%. The Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that the convening of this meeting was prompted by the keenness of the Ministry to assume its required role in organizing means of developing trade and supervising the stabilization process of the local markets in accordance with its regulations.
