MADINA/RIYADH: A famous dairy company has increased prices of some of its products by 14 percent: the prices of laban and one liter of milk have risen from SR7 to SR8, the first increase in prices in more than three years.
Sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has formed a fact-finding committee to probe the reasons for this price hike.
The ministry is also making contacts with the Saudi of Chambers of Commerce and Industry ahead of an emergency meeting of the National Committee for Dairies to discuss the implications of the increase in prices for the dairy sector in the Kingdom, the sources added.
