Saudi Food and Drug Authority's (SFDA) web-site (www.sfda.gov.sa) has won the first Digital Prize grade in the Digital Prize- branch of Electronic Health for the year 2007. This was disclosed by the Authority's acting Executive President Dr. Mohamed bin Ahmed Alkanhal, noting that the portal although a new one, but still it has witnessed steady increase in the number of its visitors. The average number of visitors from Saudi Arabia and abroad grew from 9000 at the start of 2007 to 20, 000 visitors, showing a hike of 230 per cent, he added. It is worth mentioning that the Digital award is an annual prize under the Supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which selects the best Saudi sites that projects the distinguished Arab contents.
