An Egyptian trade report emphasized the growth of trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, pointing out that Egyptian exports to the Kingdom include iron products, steel, wooden furniture, medicines and food products, juices, vegetables and fresh fruit while Egyptian imports from the Kingdom include petroleum products. The report was issued today by the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry titled "The Trade Relations between Egypt and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia". It showed that the Saudi investments in Egypt grew up according to statistics till last May. "The total Saudi contribution to capital amounted to 9.23 billion Egyptian Pounds in internal investment. The number of Saudi companies in Egypt amounted to 1015. The Kingdom ranked first in terms of Arab investments in Egypt," the report said. As regards the Egyptian investments in the Kingdom till last January, the report said that the total number of Egyptian projects amounted to 702 out of which 522 are 100% of Egyptian capital and 180 are Egyptian-Saudi joint ventures. The invested capital in these projects amounted to SR 5393 million," the report said. The report said that the value of loans provided by the Kingdom to Egypt during the period from 1975 to 2005 amounted to SR 1087.53.
