The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Italian Premier Romano Prodi graced here today a meeting held by Saudi and Italian businessmen. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Fahd bin Saleh Al-Sultan, Secretary General of Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry welcomed the King and the Premier to the meeting, noting that the King's historical visit to Italy came to crown pioneering relations between the two countries and to strongly enhance effective cooperation and economic relations. In another speech, the Council's Chairman Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al-Rashid said that the King's historical visit came to crown Saudi-Italian relations dated back for a long time. He pointed out that during the meeting the two sides will sign a number of various agreements to activate cooperation between businessmen in the two countries and to promote development of commercial and investment relations. On his part, Deputy Chairman of Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce Francisco Betone expressed his best thanks to the King for gracing the meeting, commending the strength of economic relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying the King and Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'alima.
