German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder opened here today a Saudi-German forum, organized by Riyadh's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Speaking on the occasion, Abdul-rahman Al-Jeraisey, the Chamber's Chairman said the visit paid by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to Germany in 2001 has had a great impact in enhancing bilateral relations. "Moreover, the visit paid by the German chancellor to the Kingdom in 2003 and his meeting with Saudi businessmen had positively contributed to expanding cooperation between the kingdom and Germany," he noted. "Germany is one of the three important partners of the Kingdom, and the latter is keen on further enhancing its relations with it," he said.
