The Kingdom and Germany, which are members of the UN, are keen on enhancing relations with all peace-loving nations. The Saudi-German relations go back to 1929 when King Abdulaziz signed a friendship treaty with Germany. In 1931 a German consul was appointed in the Kingdom, and after that development the Saudi-German relations witnessed continuous development.
