Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Manea has his Ministry's medical staff are determined to completely eradicate measles by next year, and will focus on family medicine as part of their drive to improve services. In an interview, published today by the Jeddah-based Saudi Gazette, Dr.Al-Manea said the Ministry has drawn up an integrated plan to combat the viral disease. "The Ministry will start a national vaccination campaign to inoculate all children aged between nine months and six years, as well as vaccinating all students in the primary, intermediate and secondary stages." "Like all the other vital services, the Kingdom's leadership is giving health service a lot of attention," Al-Manea said.
