Security concerns delay Condoleezza Rice entry to West Bank

Quds city, October 15, SPA -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's vehicle was briefly diverted into an Israeli fire
station on Monday due to security concerns as she traveled
to the West Bank for talks with Palestinian officials.
Her motorcade stopped near a crossing point into the West
Bank as security officials investigated a suspicious
vehicle, said police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby. It turned
out to be a false alarm, he said.
After about 15 minutes, the convoy was allowed to proceed, The Associated Press reported.
