Quds city, March 6, SPA -- Heading for the United States, Israel's foreign minister said Sunday he would try to rally international support for a full Syrian withdrawal from Lebanon. The minister, Silvan Shalom, was scheduled to meet in Washington this week with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley. Shalom told Israel Radio that he would raise the issue of Lebanon, saying a Syrian withdrawal would help promote stability and peace efforts in the Middle East.
