Pakistan is sending a delegation of engineering companies to European Machine Tools Show 2007 (EMO) to provide engineering sector an opportunity to study modern manufacturing techniques, said an official statement. The trade fair, to be held in Hannover, Germany, from September 17-22, would help Pakistani engineers to observe latest technological trends in the metalworking field, benchmark their products against international standards to compete globally. Pakistan has lot more investment opportunities in the field of component manufacturing because of double digit growth in the auto and household goods sector. Pakistan s Engineering Development Board (EDB) would showcase a wide spectrum of products and technologies where Pakistani investors will get acquainted with the latest manufacturing techniques, giving them competitive edge in the global supply chain, the statement said.
