The Head of the Catholic Priests Center in the city of Mintes, Karl Liman said the new drawings insulting Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him), which were recently published by a Swedish newspaper, constitute an insult to Christianity itself, and moreover they pave the way for sedition between Islam and Christianity. Speaking at a ceremony here today, Liman said religious characters which had positively contributed to the change of the march of history should be respected. He reiterated his respect for the press freedom, but he said he doesn't tolerate any endeavor to insult the religions, or to hurt the feelings of the Muslims. Pointing out to the cartoons published by a Danish newspaper two years ago, which projected Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him), as a terrorist, he said "such practices pave the way for war of cultures." Liman urged the Swedish government to punish Lars Philex who publish the photograph in a Swedish newspaper on August 19, 2007, as well as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper.
